A: If you purchase a Logic Seasoned product is will have 1-3 seasoned coatings on the pan. Lodge recommends that you undergo at least one more seasoning process prior to using the pan, but it is not necessary. The longer you use your pan the better seasoned the pan will become. Seasoning cast iron is a life long process for the pan. It enhances the non-stick qualities of the pan. The seasoning can become removed from the cast iron if you wash the pan incorrectly or use the pan to cook a lot of acidic foods. If the seasoning is removed the pan is not ruined. All you need to do is wash the pan with hot water and re-season it a time or two.
