A: I am sorry, but Lodge does not make skillets that large. I do not have a cast iron manufacturer that accommodates so large a request.

A: When Lodge seasons a pan they use a combination of vegetable oils for the process.

Q3: I own a Logic skillet. I would like to know the proper way to store and keep it clean? Thank you.

A: Here is the information from Lodge's internet site: Store in a cool, dry place. If you have a lid for your utensil, place a folded paper towel between the lid and the utensil to allow air to circulate. If your utensil develops a metallic smell or taste or shows signs of rust, never fear. Wash with soap and hot water, scour off rust, and reseason. After use: Clean using a stiff brush and hot water only (do not wash in dishwasher). Towel dry immediately and apply a light coating of vegetable oil to cookware while still warm.

Q4: Is there a difference in quality of cast iron skillets? Do you get what you pay for?

A: That is a good question, and one I had to research. From what I found there does seem to be small differneces in the quality of different cast iron manufacturers. The differences would lie in the formulas used in the metal composition, the thickness of the walls of the pan, and the quality of the seasoning (if the pan comes seasoned). Our Lodge line is our best selling cast iron product. We sell equal amounts of the seasoned and unseasoned.

Q5: Can the pans go from the stovetop right into the over

A: Yes, Lodge cast iron can go directly from the stovetop into the oven. Do be very careful as the cast iron gets very hot, and the handle will retain the heat for a long time. Lodge recommends using their hot handle holders, or the max temp oven mitts, when handling their cookware. A: Yes, cast iron can be used safely on ceramic stoves; the user just needs to be extremely careful not to drag the pan across the stove or drop the pan onto the stove. Doing either will damage your cooktop.
